Product Description

Motorway studs are safety devices used on roads. These devices are usually made of plastics, ceramics, thermoplastic coatings or occasionally metal, and come in a variety of shapes and colors. Motorway studs include lenses or reflective sheets, which enhance visibility by reflecting automobile headlights. Some other names for specific types of raised pavement markers include convex vibration lines, Botts’ dots, contour lines, cat’s eyes, road studs or road turtles. Sometimes they are simply referred to as “reflectors”.

Motorway studs are one of raised pavement markers. Motorway studs on road is used for dividing the road boundary,for safety,reducing the accidents,made from aluminium alloy attached with the reflective sheet made from the acrylic plastic sheet.This acrylic is a reflective prism glass style and available 1 or 2 sides on road stud. In addition,there will be thin layer of the coated glass in order to enhance the reflective index during night time.

Whats the different color studs mean on the motorway?

 

Red studs- mark the left edge of the road.

White studs- mark the lanes or the middle of the road.

Amber studs- mark the central reservation of a dual carriageway or motorway.

Green studs- mark the edge of the main carriageway at lay-bys and slip roads

Green/yellow- studs indicate temporary adjustments to lane layouts, e.g. where road works are taking place.
