Reflective studs on motorway are safety devices used on roads. These devices are usually made of plastics, ceramics, thermoplastic coatings or occasionally metal, and come in a variety of shapes and colors. Reflective studs on motorway include lenses or reflective sheets, which enhance visibility by reflecting automobile headlights. Some other names for specific types of reflective studs include convex vibration lines, Botts' dots, contour lines, cat's eyes, road studs or road turtles. Sometimes they are simply referred to as "reflectors".

A blue road stud or cat’s eye marks a fire hydrant. These blue reflectors are installed on, or just to the left of the centreline of the roadway. They were first introduced in 2004. They are called retroreflective raised pavement markers or RRPMs. In other countries they are called road studs.
A traffic cylinder post which can yield resiliently on impact comprises an upper part (10) resiliently secured to a base (12) by an elastic cord (24), the base being adapted to be secured to the road surface or (as shown) to be secured in a receptacle for a road reflector.
Cat’s eyes are also called road studs or retroreflective raised pavement markers (RRPMs). There are several types of cat’s eyes used on the roads in New Zealand and they serve three purposes. Visual lane marking – using white in the middle and red on the left edge means that road users can follow these to stay in the lane.
